Kaji, V, and Grief always dreamed about living in a fantasy land - but when they get their chance,
it isn't nearly what they wanted. Thrust into the middle of a brewing war, the three boys quickly find their lives are
more than just changed - they're on the line.

Jeph "Kaji" Hobusek: Kaji is the strong and silent type. While his brother Grief was off
adventuring in comic books, he was left along to fend for himself and has become very independant because of it.
That independance is threatened though by his newfound magikal powers. Gifted
by the spirits with the ability to use Ice and Fire magik, Kaji's very mind is now at stake.

Victor "V" Gozinchofski: Distant and intelligent, V is pragmatic and honest to a fault. If he has an
opinion, he WILL share it, regardless of how the recipient will take it. A natural leader, V tends
to take charge simply because he knows what's he's doing.
While his own abilities have only manifested once, V's powers seem to enhance his strength, although
where that strength comes from has yet to be discovered.

Bobby "Grief" Hobusek: Generally tending to be loud, over the top, and ridiculous, Grief is the glue of the group.
His emotions are infectious and he's very good at reading people. While the boys don't know exactly
why they're in Emess, Grief feels like he's responsible, and as such, he takes their presence there VERY seriously.
Grief has found himself with the ability to somehow
connect people to the long banished-creatures, the Mechans, creating summoners. It's this
power that makes the trio such a powerful force as well as such important targets.

Issue Nine - Kaji, out of control thanks to a magikal-over dose, is on the rampage in G'Chaat Keep. King Zasabi, V, and Vires fight to keep him from escaping, but when Fire-Kaji calls in his Mechan Fugam, things are NOT looking good. Meanwhile, far to the north, the exiled Lord Darkstar takes his first steps back into Emess!

Issue Eight - Imprisoned! But not for long! The boys work out their drama, but then they are brought before the King of Emess. But what plan does Puff have up her sleeve? And how will Grief and the boys screw it up as they so often do? And Kaji's magikal powers go into overdrive!

Issue Seven - Kaji's been captured by the Royal Emessian United Front - and that's NOT a good thing. But on their way to rescue him are V and Vires, as well as Grief, his thief-guide Shari, and Devoveo! Are the boys from Earth about to turn their losing streak around?

Issue Six - Grief returns to the camp of the Darkened Sky, but why? Kaji decides to test run his new magikal powers, getting both him and V some much unneeded attention.

Issue Five- Having survived their encounter with the Darkened Sky, Grief and V now only wait on Kaji, who remains unconscious. Kaji's mind is caught between two magikal beings, both of them offering power - but nothing comes without a price.
